UAV : Agricultural Drone

41 students

Digital agriculture is a field of advancing technology that includes electronic devices, other technologies, and programs in production farming to help operators become more efficient and profitable. There are many parts that make up digital agriculture, including precision ag, prescription applications, broadband Internet, wireless interlinking between devices and equipment, and farm management software. Drones (or UAVs – unmanned aerial vehicles) are a part of the equation as a means of improving crop scouting, analyzing data, and detecting problems faster to save time and promote plant health. For example, by looking at different light spectrums with sensors on a drone, producers can identify plant health issues, nutrient deficiencies, and other problems that can lower yields.
